Spring is here and Summer is coming fast. To celebrate the good season, Run The Planet partnered with http://www.run.com, a brand new running website that allows all visitors to visually map and save their favourite training routes.
While Run The Planet remains the portal for all athletes, featuring extensive information for runners of all abilities, http://www.run.com is already collecting great route suggestions by incorporating runners-generated course maps from all over the world, to offer all road enthusiasts an easy, helpful, fun-to-use and intuitive tool.
Whether you are looking for new running routes or want to map out your own favorite runs, including the over 4,000 courses available on Run The Planet, Run.com's mapping tool will provide you with accurate distance information, an elevation profile for each route, and much more. It is as close as you can get to running while sitting at a computer.
Creating a running route on http://www.run.com is as easy as 1, 2, 3. You only have to pick your location, click along your favorite route (remember that you can add extra markers, too!), name it, tag it and publish it.
Owned and operated by Hillclimb Media, the leading publisher of sports, outdoor, and travel web sites, http://www.run.com is still in Beta version, so we need help from all runners sharing and mapping out great routes. Please tell us about your favorite ones, whether it is your weekend long run or just an easy cruiser around the neighborhood. Suggestions on how to improve this friendly service are also welcomed.
From all of us at Run The Planet, the best wishes for a great month of running.
