China Coast Marathon - March. There are some hills so fast times are not expected. There is always a very high proportion of finishers so the event has become known as the "Finisher's Marathon". The finish is manned for six hours after the race begins. The mean temperature in March is 18.5 °C and the relative humidity 81%. Weather conditions for the race are generally good. The course is run around the High Island reservoir and is relatively traffic free. The race starts on the road about 200 meters inside the entrance road barrier to the Sai Kung Country Park. Follow the road and up the hill to the head of the Reservoir; go left along the Eastern road for about 1 km to the first turnaround. Return to the head of the Reservoir and turn left into the Southern road and go to the end of the road and turnaround after crossing the top of the main dam. Half marathoners return to the head of the Reservoir, down the hill and to the finish, marathoners proceed to the second turnaround about 2 km along the Eastern road, returning to the main dam via the Southern road, back to the head of the Reservoir and then down the hill to the finish.
