Nepal Marathons

Namche Bazaar

Tenzing-Hillary Everest Marathon - May. From Lukla, starting point of all treks to the base of Mount Everest, participants will take 9 days trekking through this Himalayan Kingdom to the foot of the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest. Here they will camp for two nights before starting the race from the Khumbu Ice Fall at 18,000 feet. The course will take you along the same trail you trekked up, finishing in the village of Namche Bazaar, home to the famous Sherpa people. Trail condition is well worn rocky dirt with some stone stairs and ledges. This trail is used by thousands of people each year and is a good direct route to the finish.
