The Maldives are an archipelago of 1200 tiny round coral islands, most of which are inhabited. The average size of these is about 500m diameter (say 500 yard) so for sprint it might be ok but not for a marathon. Male (the capital) is a bit bigger 4 km on 2 km and you could run around along the harbors, but it is very crowded. There is however in the south a couple of islands which are joined by a bridge. These enables a somewhat longer run.
