Tajikistan could be a great place for running, I think. Beautiful nature, warm climate, and poor state of public transport certainly contribute to it. The majority of people here having no cars have to walk or run, if they are in a hurry, wheter they like it or not. Actually I am fond of walking and running, therefore, having to walk and run, not drive. About Dushanbe city where I live, is not a problem. If one is not afraid of being taken hostage (recently some members of the international community were taken as hostages in Dushanbe, one of them was killed) and not afraid of the security situation in the Tajik capital in general, he or she could certainly enjoy running in any place of Dushanbe, like running along its main street called Rudaki Prospect, around Firdavsi Monument in the Main Square (Firdavsi is a Tajik poet), running in Dushanbe parks, or one could even leave the boundaries of Dushanbe city and climb the mountains.
