With no parks of any size, running the city streets is ok and considered commonplace. Run at first light pre-truck fumes. Best short run: from Clock tower out Moshi Road then right on road that goes past the Pepsi plant, rolling hills, quickly rural, lots of trees. Best long run: road to Dodoma out past airport, 3-4 km of urban traffic then wide shoulders, coffee plantations, wheat fields, flame trees in bloom.
