Best to run in the early morning (but while still light) on one of the main streets. Pick a main route (like Magtumguli) and stick to it. Watch out for rebarb and potholes. The Hash House Harriers run in the Kopet Dag mountains. They're a great place to run if you can find a goat path. Watch out for cobras and scorpions, though.
