A great place to run is the University of Zambia main campus off the Great East Road. There is usually plenty of free parking after hours down by Goma Lakes. Then just follow all the roads that wind through campus and you should get in a good 5 to 6 miles of running. It's safe, pleasant and almost all flat, to slightly rolling. Once you become comfortable and familiar there are dirt trails behind the campus you could explore too. It's been a few years since (1987) I was there but I think it's still a safe bet. The weather is really great all year round with very low humidity. I have only great memories of running in Lusaka.
