Nantes is not only a nice place to live but also a nice place to run. Local runners often run along the river "L'Erdre" a few miles North from downtown. For especially scenic runs, however, I recommend the parks, these oasis of calm in the chaos of the city. The "Parc de Procé" (downtown), the "Bois Raguenet" (NorthWest) and "Le Val de Chézine" (West). Running on the trails here will give you a great sense of peace.
