On any sunny Sunday: take a tram to St. Kilda Junction (just ask the conductor where the stop is) then leisurely run down hill to the beach (Hobsons Bay). Turn left at the foreshore along the upper esplanade to Acland street. Turn right after Luna Park then into Barkly street (if you have the time stop and look at Microscope Gallery located on Barkly street opposite the end of Acland street). Continue along Barkly to Blessington street then turn left again to find the St. Kilda Botanical Gardens with plenty of trees to rest under.
