I can add some information about places for running in Minsk. Across Minsk flow river Svisloch. It will be a good idea to run along the river Svisloch (except some parts in industrial areas). Most of the parks in Minsk don't have lighting at evening, except some famous and placed in center as Cheluskinzev Park or Gorky Park. But in my opinion sometimes in dark parks it is more safe, because there are no crazy people. All our country is good place for run and walk, with the exception of radioactive area at South (not far from Ukrainian Chernobyl). In the territory of our country there are many forests, rivers and lakes. That make pleasant conditions for run and walk. You could just walk away from big road. There are no forests or parks where walk is forbidden (no private territory). Maybe in reserves (Belovezhsky, Berezinsky) walk is forbidden, but I think you may walk and run in a reserve if you live in a hotel that is located in the reserve (probably in permitted places only).
