Begin at the Ecole Militaire. Run across the Champs de Mars to the Eiffel Tower. Circle the tower (a must). Cross the river and head toward the Arc de Triomphe. Head down the Champs Elysee toward the Place de Concord. Veer left on the Rue Rivoli past the Louvre. Turn back toward the Seine and turn left when you get to the river. Pass Notre Dame. At the next bridge, cross over the river and head back. If you're lucky, at the right time of the morning, the view of Notre Dame with a mist floating around it is awe inspiring. Run back toward the Eiffel Tower to finish your run. This run must be done first thing in the morning or the traffic is too much to fight. One note: every Sunday morning, the road that runs along the Seine is closed to automobile traffic and open only to runners, bikers, skaters and walkers.
