Guam has numerous running courses and a very active schedule of races. The variety of courses is fantastic: straight up vertical climbs over Nimitz Hill, the Alley Oop extending 6.7 miles over Guam's scenic southern hills (mountains!!!). There are fast courses, flat courses. Longer and middle-distance runs are organized by the Guam Running Club. Numerous 5k runs are organized by various charitable groups as well. Races usually start at dark-thirty a.m. to beat the tropical heat and you can run year round.
