Bitam is a great little town up North in Gabon (population 10,000). You can get there from Libreville (capital) by airplane (25 to 30 minutes) or bus (8 to 12 hours). People are really friendly. There is also great food and nice place to visit. "Auberge Touristique de Billy-Ebah" (3 km from downtown) is a place where tourists like to hang out or stay for some times. You should enjoy your journey in Bitam. In Bitam, you can run at different place and distances. Running from downtown to the villages along the road to Eboro-Ntem should be a good experience. You'll be able to run while visiting villages at the same time because they are mostly situated along the road. The road condition is great also! If you prefer short distances, you'll be running around the city limits or from downtown to the Missionnary Centre of Jesus Marie (and back). Hope you'll go in Bitam! You'll never forget it!
