Begin at Obyan Beach and head east up the hill (away from the beach). Turn right at the top of the hill. You will be running along the airport fence and may have a 747 roar over your head. Continue for about 1 mile until you reach a "Y" intersection. Go to the right. You will have an excellent view of Forbidden Island across Lau Lau Bay. The road curves to the right and you will pass a rock quarry on the right. The road will now turn into a jeep track and goes into the jungle. Follow this road past limestone cliffs and up to the top of the plateau. You are now on the peninsula and have a great view of ocean on three sides. As you round a bend you'll see Tinian Island to the South. The road ends at a World War II Japanese coastal gun (I think it's a 12" gun). Check out the view and head back. The total run is about 8 miles. For a shorter run (4 miles) start at the quarry.
