Start at the footbridge over the River Ouse (Willeys Bridge) in the Pells district of Lewes, East Sussex. Turn left along the river bank towards Hamsey village. At Hamsey village a choice, turn left up to Offham village church and then turn left back along the main road to Lewes (4 miles), or carry straight on around the back of Cooksbridge village back to the main road and turn left on to the main road back into Lewes (6 miles). The main road has a footpath all the way. The river bank can get muddy during the Winter months. Lewes Athletic Club meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm at Lewes Leisure centre in Mountfield Road, near the station, for social and structured runs. Anyone is welcome to come along.
