A nice 7-miler is, starting in the town centre run to Old Glenarm Road and follow this until you hit the Coast Road (sometimes detouring past St. Comgalls High school and throught the town park). Now run along the Coast Road enjoying the sea view, passing the scenic Black arch, through the small seaside village of Drains Bay. As you are just about to leave Drains Bay, there is a small play area on the left hand side with a path which joins on to it and runs parallel to the coast road for a few hundred metres. Follow this path up towards the Carnfunnock visitors centre, going left of the golf driving range (not the golf course), and up quite a nasty 100 metre climb/stumble/crawl/whatever. When you reach the top follow the path some more until you reach a farm house and chalk road, take a left down the chalk road until you reach a tarmac road (Glenarm Road). Left on Glenarm Road and a nice gentle down hill until you run past Drains Bay where there is another lovely hill to surmount (more than 100 metres, a lot more), top of the hill stay on Glenarm Road, past the Seacourt housing estate and just follow Glenarm Road all the way into the centre of the town again. Have fun.
