If you happen to be in the south west of Scotland on holiday this is a lovely run. Start from Barnbarroch village (on the road from Dalbeattie to Kippford) take the road into the forest. Take a right turn after the first gate, and keep going. You run a forest road with some old and new growth forest, also some gaps where there are lovely views down towards the sea. You can continue until you get to Colvend Hall. Either run back or get a lift or the bus but to the start. Approximately 4 miles. There are also lots of other forest tracks in this area.
