A great place to run in this city is the so called "Aaper Wald", which is located at the north end of the city. It has wonderful forest trails and lovely up and downhill sections... it is very hilly but not very tiring. Another great place to run is the Rhine area at the left side of the Rhine in front of the district called Duesseldorf-Oberkassel. Unfortunately it is all pavement, but nevertheless you have a beautiful view on the Rhine and the city!
