Unfortunately, this caribbean island is not very suited for running. The main road (the major road taking you leeward and windward along the coast) is quite narrow, with large drainage ditches along the sides, which makes it quite easy to get run off of the road by the traffic. Any side roads are short and not close to the city. There is a wonderful volcano in the northern center of the island, which is a great hike (about 2-3 hours)... this is incredible.
