Other great possibility: Perlacher Forst, a huge forest in the south of the city with open space here and there. If you run between 10 and 12 am you might run into the Bayern München football players working out. München has 3 first division clubs, and all of them are working out there. Or: Nymphenburger Schlosspark, a park/forest around the Nymphenburg Castle in the west of the city.
