In Dakar, capital city of Senegal there are certainly many more running routes than the two I am going to give below. These are however those I am familiar with having been sometime a regular user of them. "Corniche": it's the name of a seaside street. Between the street and the sea, there is a stretch of land about 100 meters wide on which a running lane of about 1 kilometer has been constructed. Runners can however (and often do) run far beyond the lane. Wonderful place to numbness off specially in the morning and late afternoon. "Vdn": it's a kind of midtown highway; between the two ways of the highway there a stretch of land approximately 20 meters wide. People run on either this stretch or on the outer sides of the two ways. Great run too, since most of the course goes through sparsely inhabited areas flooded by the breeze.
