Helsinki is excellent for running along the shoreline. Start in front of the Presidential Place, on the market square. Head toward the Usbeski Cathedral for a run around Katajanokka (3k). Stay as close to the sea as possible. Continue toward the Market Square, pass it, and turn right toward the Silja terminal. The idea again is to stay as close to the sea as possible. Run along the shoreline around the Kaivopuisto and continue until you hit the round Karuselli restaurant. By now you should have done around 6k. Turn back for a 10k run, or continue the seaside run toward the Helicopter terminal. This will add another 1k to your run. From the Helicopter terminal, you have to turn back, but you may continue running toward the West. Eventually you should hit Seurasaari, mentioned elsewhere on this page. Run around it and turn back for a 20-25k run.
