Traffic free running is important and in Copenhagen I run around the Damhussøen. It is a lake area outside the city centrum only 20 minutes by bus. The lake is 3.25k round and including the fields atop of the lake area it is a good 5.5k. Connected to the lake is running and biking paths/off road that extend far north. I have personally run 10+k one direction towards Utterslev Mose (Utterslev swamp). If you visit Copenhagen frequently, and are tired of the lake region and busy streets, try this outer region easy to get to, and located on the intersection of Peters Bang Vej, Ålekistervej, Grøndals Parkvej. It is worth the effort and the time.
