There are several places to run in Guinea-Bissau, some of the nicest are on the dirt roads in the bush in the region of Biombo on the way to Ondame. In the city of Bissau, there are not too many runners but one good contact is pastor Jose Paulo Semedo at the Igreja Evangelical Central. He is an avid runner, and coincidentally one can run near by his house from the old downtown area up a nice main road canopied with mango trees and much activity. Runners who are not African should seek the accompaniment of a national, for safety.
