Banjul is just a little town and it is situatated on a former isle: there is not much to see and there is very little nature left. My suggestions: let's start and finish at Arch 22, the monument you cannot miss when you visit Banjul. It is very possible that the names of the streets are (or will be) changed. The center can be crowded. With your back to the Arch go to the left into the Marina Parade (Col. Gadaffy Avenue) until the State House. You have to go to the right through Avenue Anne-Marie Javouhey and to the left on Independence Drive (name changes into Tafsir Demba Ndow street). At the end to the left along 22nd July Square and to avoid the real crowded centre at Albert Market and Liberation Avenue, to the right into Ecowas Street. After about 1,2 km to the left into Cherno Adama Bah Street which name will change into Kakujeri Road (known as Roundabout). Following this road one runs (on a well paved road) through the middle of the swamps and reach the Banjul-Serekunda Highway. To the right on 1,5 km is the Arch again. Total distance about 10-12 km. If you want to run a greater distance go at the end of Kakujeri to the left in the direction of Denton Bridge and return whenever you want on the same road. Take a lot of water!
