Ratingen has 90,000 inhabitants and is surrounded with a great forest. There are several courses you can run. If you start at parking place "Trockener Stiefel" in the Hoeseler Forest and the run northeastwards over the Hoelenderwed direction Eggerscheidt via the Hotel Eule over the Steinkothen through the Angertal - Anger is a beautiful river - over Mueschenau to the Auermuehle and then the way back to the staring point. Total approximately 13k. You can vary the course and make it some kilometers longer.
