In the Eastern part of town it is excellent around Treptower Park (S-Bahn-Station). You can run approximately 5 kms along the river Spree, then make your way back through Plänterwald, then cross the street on your left and continue around a little lake to the Soviet Union's monument against Fascism, really impressing, run up the steps to the Russian Soldier, who is smashing the Swastika. While running on a Summer evening you will most presumably bump into youths enjoying their sunset-joint... At the end of the soldier's graveyard with thousands of bodies, cross the street at the traffic light and make your way back to S-Bahn-Station.
