The best place to run in Amersfoort is the wooded area known as Soest Duinen (meaning "dunes" - although very few of the trails are sand - most are dirt or gravel). You can find the area by heading west from Amersfoort station and following signs for the zoo (Dierenpark). The entrance to the woods is next to the zoo entrance.
