Aschaffenburg is a nice, ancient city, approximately 40 km eastbound from Frankfurt, directly located on the river Main. There are a lot of possibilities for a nice run when you are in this area. One of the nicest areas is the Schoenbusch Park. This a historic garden, built in 1860 by King Ludwig II. There is a nice swan lake and a beautiful small castle. The trail is about a 5 km round course with a wonderful scenery. You can get there by public transport or by car in approximately 5 minutes from downtown Aschaffenburg. After your run you can enjoy a Weizenbier in a traditional beergarden, directly located in the park.
