When I visit Luxembourg for big business I usually stay in the Grand Hotel Cravat which is situated somewhat central near Boulevard Roosevelt. I start running in western direction to Pont Adolphe. Right after the bridge their is a way down to the ground (valley) of Luxembourg (the bottom of the Kasematten, yes, the fortess indeed), where you will find a neat river called Petrusse. Heading east the run will take about 20 minutes, depending on your speed (usually I run with 5.00 min/km), leading you to the Hospiz (the army hospital) and the older parts of the district Grund. The "ravine" is designed as a garden with some bridges to cross Petrusse and lots of green and ivy on the rocks. The run will be most impressive in sunrise and sunset, but the sunrise is late in Luxembourg and the sunset is somewhat early. Parts of the ravine are lighted.
