Start at the park near Killarney Street in Takapuna. Run through the park down past the old Pumphouse Theatre, along Manurere Avenue, up to Hurstmere Road, then north to Kitchener Road. Turn left on Sylvan Park Road and run through Sylvan Park. There is a nice boardwalk through the mangroves. Head back up Fenwick Street to the corner of Kitchener and Shakespeare Roads, turn left on Shakespeare and run up to Taharoto Road and veer left. Turn left on Rangitira Road, then right into Pupuke Road, left into Killarney Street to finish where you started near the Pumphouse Theatre. A nice 8-9 km run, with gentle hills along the way, and some nice views of the lake. It is a nice quiet neighbourhood for a run.
