Run The Planet is proud to introduce our new affiliate Run.com, the best running route resource on the web. If you are looking for a new Irbid running route, or want to share your favorite Irbid running routes with the rest of the word, Run.com is the place to be.
Try using Run.com to find a run, or publish a run of your own.
To the east of Irbid (approximately 5 km), there is a small town called Huwarrah, which is a rural town surrounded with acres of agricultural land connected all together with a network of unpaved roads, that narrow down in some areas to trails. These roads are mostly flat, but can be a bit hilly, but not steep. You can start west of the town by taking one of these roads off the main road that connects Irbid with Al-Huson, just a bit south of the Hospital and then head east, or (my favorite one) is to start in the Southern side of the town (off the Sareeh Road, just where the huge power-line towers intersect the road) and go east, then northeast until you are on the hill East of the town, where you can witness a nice sunset. Provided that you are a trail runner and you are familiar with the landscape and the people, you'll love this place. (Note: runners are not a familiar site in rural Jordan, so a local guide or companion is an important part of the run).
