Tortola is not a great place to run as far as I am concerned... the roads are narrow and the drivers crazy! Most of the island is hilly, but the Sir Francis Drake highway runs along the coast and is flat, if not windy in some places. It goes through several small villages and hugs the water the whole way into Road Town. Alternatively, there is a running course on Peter Island, complete with places to stop and stretch, etcetera. The island is beautiful and sparsely populated, with no towns at all, just a resort.
