I am from Malaysia, I started my long distance carrier back to 1997 after I ended my middle distance competition that started since I was 7. I have been actively participating in most of the local race, not aiming for podium finish but to enjoy the run. Perhaps you might think that this is a good excuse for myself. My hometown is a hilly city, Ipoh, the state capital of Perak that located on North of our capital, Kuala Lumpur. About 2 hours of drive along the highway, it will be enjoying if you were to travel along the countryside as it passes through all the small town that famous of its own local product. Of course it requires a good driving skill indeed! The best running place in Ipoh that I would like to highlight is the jogging park named Pologround in the layman term, or Taman Rekreasi Sultan Abdul Aziz officially. It consists of two distance that cover 1.367 kilometers and 868 meters respectively. It is a shady track and attracts a huge crowd most of the day. Your run also can be a family day on a piece of greenery in the center of the course. The famous dishes in Ipoh might ease your hunger after the run.
