I am from Belo Horizonte city and I lived just 2 kilometers from Pampulha lagoon. I used to warm up running from home to the lagoon area near AABB. Then, I used to run forward the zoo and then to a little church, Mineirinho/Mineirão stadium and to Casa do Baile. Then, I passed above the barrier at Pedro I/Antonio Carlos going to the Museum. The area around the museum is a relaxing place where you can forget the time. From the museum I went home (2,5 or 3 kilometers from there). There are not public toilets along the course, but you can find toilets in the zoo, at the Mineirinho parking area and in PBH-ARP, not counting the toilets in the cafes and restaurants around the lagoon. At the area from the museum to the soo it is hard to find toilets (maybe you can find in AABB) and water. A tip, as soon as you leaved the museum, you will see a large uphill avenue. Going about 100 meters through this avenue, at Portugal avenue corner, you will find a bakery and some shops where you can buy something to drink. It is the last place to buy something to drink for about 6 or 8 kilometers.
