A gentle, flat run along the lagoon. Excellent for time trials, beginner runners. Excellent scenery, with the lagoon on one side, and the town on the other. Good birdlife, including flamingoes and pelicans. Wild dolphins are sometimes spotted in the lagoon. Walvis Bay is a harbour town 30 km away from the well known holiday destination of Swakopmund, on the west coast. Both towns are about 370 km away from the capital, Windhoek, which is in the center of the country.
