I started at the Emerald Beach Hotel (near the airport terminal in Charlotte Amalie). I ran around the end of the airport and then continued following the border of the airport property, continuing around the other end of the airport. This involved one steep hill. I turned around at the bay and re-ran the same route. Approximately 3 miles round trip. I felt quite safe as many locals were out walking or otherwise exercising.
