It is possible, early on Sunday morning, for males to run on the streets of Hyderabad but beware of dogs and missing manhole covers, don't wear shorts and don't carry valuables. At other times the city is too congested for running. The best off street running location is around the cricket stadium, opposite to the Indus hotel, where it is possible to devise a 1.5 km loop. Best times are dawn and dusk. A few local walkers are usually out in the evening and you will find the occasional jogger. Avoid Friday evenings when every available piece of flat ground is devoted to cricket and it is impossible to find anywhere to run.
