Located between Nice and Monaco, this beautiful area is about dark blue sea, all-brown-shades rocks and good-smelling maritime pines. What I love most when venturing in runs abroad is the feeeling of excitement deriving from not knowing the actual final destination. I had an amazing experience lately on my "holiday" daily run here in St-Jean Cap Ferrat: from downtown I took the path longing the coast, just above the sea side, which is paved (and quite crowded in sunny afternoons) and basically flat (there are hotels almost everywhere so there is no need to carry a survival kit!!). I arrived to another close village, by-passed the yacht docks (some ups and downs), few stores and cute restaurants, and went on following directions to the 13th century tower: a residential area on a hill (medium steep), and following the "Sentier pietons" (pedestrian path) arrived to an unexpected sea-level "on the rocks" white path. I do not know whether it was just the vacation happy-feeling but everything looked incredibly beautiful: the pinkish shades of the sun setting seemed almost to "educate" those sharp rocks and reckless bushes (else the union of yin and yang). Anyway, the run is easy and safe, can last miles and miles; it offers beautiful views, other runners respond to "Hi!" and smiles... I definitely suggest it! Enjoy!
