Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen: crossing the dunes. When you start your visit to the Netherlands by plane, you might have already noticed the dunes along the Nordsea. These dunes are just a half an hour away by train from the Central Station in Amsterdam. Start running to the south from the station in Zandvoort and enter the dunes. A day ticket costs 2 guilders (about 1 euro). Especially recommended on a sunny morning.
