I was born and raised here, and since my father has been a diabetic since before I was born, we have been quite a family of runners, although I sport a fashionable belly at this point in time, primarily due to the rigours of exams and other academic non-requisites! The entire city is a runner's playground over here. The pavements and footpaths alongside roads are not entirely consistent and the road-crossing systems (with the red hand and the green guy) leave much to be desired, but I have seen runners all over this small city. This city is barely 20 kilometres across anyway, so reasonable running distances will see you quite far from home, and when you drive to those parts you will be thinking to yourself "Wow, I ran all the way up to here!". Corniche is a runner's playground. From late afternoon to midnight, this part of the city is swamped with runners. That is where the main congregation of runners are. Smaller groups can be found all over the city, however. The city is primarily a residential area with commercial areas intertwined within the residential... it is like multi-storeyed buildings with top floors residential, and lower floors commercial, so you have got people looking for a good clean run everywhere.
