When we were in Tunisia and living in Carthage, we often made loops around the areas from Carthage Dermech to Carthage Hannibal. The street that we lived on, Rue Eschmoune (spelling?) ran parallel to the tram tracks. At any of the tram stations up to Carthage Hannibal, these tracks could be crossed. We would then run straight down to the road which ran parallel to the sea, back along the sea and up to the tram tracks again. This loop could be done in anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes depending on how fast you ran or how long you would love to extend the loop around small blocks, etcetera. It was also possibly looking forward to one time running up the hill to the Byrsa Museum. I would imagine that this would be a good way to end the run, as there are many steps up to the Dido Hotel and then a nice long small incline around to the entrance to the Museum. We felt fairly safe in this area and often ran just before dinner around 6 or 6:30 in the evening. Should anyone have a map that they can look at, I am sure that they will be able to map out these routes easily.
