Tours enjoys a surprisingly lively sporting life: one can practice running among a wide variety of sports. At Tours, capital of the garden of France, particular care is taken of the parks and public gardens, in total, over 630 hectares of green spaces. You can breathe :-) Ideal for Sunday runs: the Jardin Botanique, regroups remarkable trees, ornamental plants as well as an orangery, greenhouses and an animal park; the Jardin des Prebendes d'Oe created in 1872 by the Büller brothers, famous 19th century landscape gardeners; the garden of the Musée des Beaux-Arts where one can admire the cedar planted in 1804 and the stuffed elephant. We can also add the vast parks: Sainte-Radegonde, Parc Honoré de Balzac, Parc de la Source and the woodland of Larçay forest and the Bois des Hâtes.
