Generally, organized running is not yet a big thing in Nigeria. However, university campuses and the rural areas are still good places. Personally, I would recommend Ile Ife, a beautiful, laid-back ancient city in Yorubaland, in western Nigeria. It houses the Obafemi Awolowo university. Another wonderful area (better than Ife actually) will be Jos, around the plateau, that is a modern city. Good temprate climate and smooth even terrain. There is also Ikenne, around the Mayflower school. As students, we used to run the yearly school marathon from the school premises to around sorrounding villages. Great fun even if I was always among the last.
