The Nordmarka (city forest). From downtown go to one of the city train stations. Take the train route labelled "Frognerseteren" all the way to the end of the route (Frognerseteren). This is the famous Holmenkollen area just outside of Oslo. Here you will find literally hours worth of forested running/cycling trails. Holmenkollen is the site of a world famous ski jump arena and XC skiing race course.
