A visitor's view: staying at the Conrad Hotel on the island, I found the Bowen Road to be less than half a mile, straight uphill. Well worth finding - it is a car-free road, flat once you get to it, with some spectacular views of the Hong Kong skyline between the trees. You will look down on much of the city. I ran after-dark, which is fine. There were a few runners out, and reasonable lighting. I saw toilets, but no water stops. It is an out-n-back route. There is a map of the route at one of the little parks (the entry point if getting to it from the Conrad Hotel). In general, I found the surrounding streets okay for running on after dark - the only danger is from cars on narrow roads, and there was lots of light and few people.
