As a visitor in Asmara you are most probably going to stay in the Intercontinental Hotel. The easiest way to go for a run is the following: directly from this hotel a big road leads to the Asmara airport, located a bit out of the city. It is about a 3 kilometers run one way and it is nice to run in the morning since there is not too much traffic. Consider that Asmara is situated more than 2000 meters over sea level - so it is going to be, for the most of us, more exhausting than an usual short run of that distance.
