There are good running opportunities on the University of Ghana Legon campus in Accra. From the main gate of the campus run slightly uphill 400 meters then turn right at the Math department building. You will run 400 more meters make a left and it is all up hill to either the Great Hall that overlooks the whole city of Accra (students call it "Accra by night") or veer right and jog through the botanical gardens. Follow the road as it curves and you will find yourself running downhill. There are several side streets that can make the more scenic albeit longer, or you can run back to the main gate of the University which will make it a four mile jaunt. There is also a 400 meters oval in the middle of the campus across from the Central Cafeteria it is a good spot to warm-up or complete a run & stretch. Happy running!
