The 6.6 mile loop course traverses the northeastern area of Beijing. I choose Kunlun Hotel located at 2 XinYuanNan Road to be the starting point, though several other major hotels (Hilton, Huadu and Great Wall Sheraton, etc.) are within half a mile of Kunlun. Get on DongSanHuanBei Road 300 yards east of Kunlun and head south. After another 300 yards you will run across the LiangMaHe river. Continue for another 2 miles and pass JingGuang Center on your right. DongSanHuanBei Road becomes DongSanHuanZhong Road. Continue on for another 0.5 mile and turn right on JianGuoMenWai Street, pass World Trade Center on your right. After 0.5 mile turn right on DongDaQiao Road. There is a McDonald's at the turn in case you need to use a bathroom. Run north for about 3 miles. After crossing LiangMaHe river again, turn right on XinYuanNan Road to get back to Kunlun Hotel. You will be running either on the bicycle lane or the sidewalks. Be prepared to stop frequently on traffic signals and stopped buses. The area is generally crowded so I recommend the course only for easy/recovery runs. Bottled water is easy to find, and the brand I recommend is "NongFuShanQuan".
